Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
Alarmer is an alarm clock app that requires no account. Alarm scheduling, wake-up challenges, stopwatch, timer and world clock work on your device. The alarm list includes a Google AdMob banner ad, which uses an internet connection. Ads are not shown on alarm or wake-up challenge screens.
What is stored, and where
Your alarms, settings, wake-up history, stopwatch/timer state and world-clock cities are stored only on your device. If you use Android's own device backup, Android may include this data in your backup; that is controlled by your Google account settings, not by Alarmer. If you use Export alarms, the file is saved where you choose and is yours to keep or delete.
Permissions and why
| Permission | Used for |
|---|---|
| Alarms & reminders (exact alarms) | Ringing at the exact time you set. |
| Notifications, full-screen notifications | Showing the ringing alarm, timer, snooze and reminders, including over the lock screen. |
| Camera (optional) | Only for the QR / barcode wake-up challenge, if you add one: to register your code and to scan it when the alarm rings. Camera frames are analysed on the device and are never saved or sent anywhere. |
| Physical activity (optional) | Only for the Steps wake-up challenge, if you add one: counting your steps while the alarm rings. Step data is not stored. |
| Vibration, wake lock, run at startup | Vibrating, keeping the alarm ringing, and re-arming alarms after a restart. |
| Internet and network state | Loading AdMob banner ads and Google consent messages, and SDK diagnostic metrics. Alarm functions do not require a connection. |
| Advertising ID | The advertising SDK may use the device advertising ID for advertising and fraud prevention, subject to applicable privacy settings. |
Data collection and sharing
Alarmer does not send your alarms, wake-up history, camera frames or step challenge data to an app server. Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares information for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. This includes IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the advertising ID and app set ID. SDK data is encrypted in transit.
See Google's Mobile Ads data disclosure, Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses advertising information for details.
The QR/barcode challenge uses Google's bundled ML Kit scanner. Camera images and scanned results are processed on the device and are not sent to Google. With network access available, ML Kit may send device and app information, per-installation identifiers, API configuration and performance or usage metrics to Google for diagnostics and service improvement. See ML Kit's privacy terms and data disclosure.
Your advertising privacy choices
Where required, Google's User Messaging Platform displays a privacy message before ads can be requested. When available, you can review your choices in Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Your choices and regional rules affect which ads Google can serve. Alarm functions remain available if ads cannot load.
Children
Alarmer is not directed at children.
